Selling Memories
Among five sense, we rely very much on vision, but there is only one sense that we cannot escape from no matter how many afford we made. You can close our eyes, if you do not want to watch it. You can cover your ear or use other sound to cover the sound you are not, if you do not want to hear it. You can let go your hands, if you do not want to feel it and you can not putting it in your mouth, if you do not want to taste it. But you cannot escape from scents as it accompany with breathe.
To revise audiences’ experience within an exhibition and further develop my topic over memories, I would like to make works that could only truly access to its essence through real time experience, olfactory experience to be specific which people could only have in that particular place with their primary perception instead of secondary representation. Also, as a medium for my audience to regain a relaxed and joyful experience once we had when we not yet enter the society.
